I.V. Therapy Self Study Program

This program is designed to provide Nurses and Post-Graduate Nursing Students with a basic knowledge of I.V. Therapy Practice. It meets the Florida Board of Nursing LPN requirement for 30-hours of I.V. Therapy Education. RN's are also encouraged to complete the program as a refresher; or as a primer for new RN's.

The I.V. Therapy Education Program has been made available in "self study format" for nurses who cannot find a class in their area; or are unable to take 4 days off work to attend a live class. The audio portion of the program is an actual live recording of our I.V. Therapy Education Course presented by Kay Coulter, CRNI.

Course content includes current standards of practice, a venous access device review, venipuncture techniques, I.V. medication administration and fluid management, a review of nutritional solutions, management of difficult I.V. insertions, legal aspects and vascular access protocols.

Self Study Program Includes...

When a nurse purchases our I.V. Therapy Self Study Program (for individual users) you will receive a Audio CD Set and Workbook. Upon successful completion of the post test a certificate of completion (reflecting contact hours) will be issued to the individual nurse who purchased the program.
