Creating Safer Healthcare through Medical Error Reduction

This 2-hour program was designed to educate the healthcare community about the prevalence of medical errors and prevention strategies.  Everyone involved in the care of a patient has a duty to help reduce potential errors leading to liability, injury, and death.  Topics that will be discussed include recognizing error-prone situations, an overview of FDA guidelines, facts about medication errors, reporting responsibilities, and how to improve patient outcomes.  This course is appropriate for anyone involved in the care of a patient.  Curriculum meets the Florida Board 2-hour licensure requirement.
