My I.V. Clinical Day allowed me to apply the I.V. theory that I learned in my 30-hour I.V. course. The Clinical Day provided me with the hands-on training and experience that I needed...has given me the skills that I have been lacking to advance in my career goals.
Elaine Szczebaski, LPN, BSW - Tarpon Springs, Florida
If you want to learn how to really do I.V.'s the right way - not the way you were taught - do this. This is Evidence-Based practice which truly works. Thanks. Carla, Largo, Florida
What hands-on procedures will I be able to do during this day?
Multiple I.V. procedures are available for hands-on precepted performance. These may include peripheral I.V. catheter placement, central venous catheter dressing change, I.V. medication administration, I.V. fluid initiation, and/or I.V. pump review and initiation. A skills checklist will be completed for each procedure the participant completes. This day is tailored to your individual needs and requested procedures. Note: Individual healthcare discipline (i.e. RN, LPN, etc.) will dictate which hands-on procedures will be available and/or allowed. Observation only sessions are available for Pharmacists and Nursing Students.
